Bratislava, 16. mája 2023: VIP stretnutie aktuálnych členov a sympatizantov Britskej obchodnej komory v Slovenskej republike, ktoré sme organizovali v spolupráci s Britským veľvyslanectvom, otvoril čestný prezident komory, britský veľvyslanec na Slovensku, Nigel Baker. Podujatie sme usporiadali pri príležitosti 25. výročia našej komory a 30. výročia diplomatickej spolupráce medzi Veľkou Britániou a Slovenskom. Slávnostnú atmosféru umocnili krásne priestory Zrkadlovej sály Primaciálneho paláca v Bratislave.

Významným hosťom bol Chris Barton, britský obchodný komisár pre Európu, ktorý vo svojom prejave vyzdvihol význam a rozmer spolupráce medzi oboma krajinami pre budúcnosť našich vzťahov. Naši čestní hostia, Lucia Kišš, generálna riaditeľka Sekcia hospodárskej a rozvojovej spolupráce MZV SR, a tiež Robert Šimončič, generálny riaditeľ generálny riaditeľ Slovenskej agentúry pre rozvoj investícií a obchodu (SARIO), zhodnotili obchodné prepojenie medzi oboma krajinami a podporili ich rozvoj do budúcnosti.

Podujatím sprevádzala Miroslava Remenárová, naša predsedníčka predstavenstva, ktorá spolu s ďalšími zástupcami predstavenstva, Tatianou Hargašovou, KPMG, Katarínou Pšenákovou, TESCO Stores SR a Richardom Brightom, Jaguar Land Rover Slovakia, odovzdala prvé členské certifikáty v tomto roku.

Bratislava, May 16, 2023: The VIP meeting of current members and sympathizers of the British Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic, which we organized in cooperation with the British Embassy, was opened by the HonoraryPpresident of the Chamber, the British ambassador to Slovakia, H.M. Nigel Baker. We organized the event on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of our Chamber and the 30th anniversary of diplomatic cooperation between the United Kingdom and Slovakia. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by the beautiful spaces of the Hall of Mirrors of the Primate’s Palace in Bratislava.

Chris Barton, the British Trade Commissioner for Europe, was an important guest. In his speech, he highlighted the importance and dimension of cooperation between the two countries for the future of our relations. Our guests of honor, Lucia Kišš, Director General of the Economic and Development Cooperation Section of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic, and also Robert Šimončič, Director General of the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency (SARIO), evaluated the business connection between the two countries and supported their development in the future.

The event was moderated by Miroslava Remenárová, our Chairwoman of the Board, who together with other representatives of the Board, Tatiana Hargašová, KPMG, Katarína Pšenáková, TESCO Stores SR and Richard Bright, Jaguar Land Rover Slovakia, also handed over the first membership certificates this year.
