Equilibrium: Mentoring, ktorý pomáha ženám dosiahnuť viac
Vedeli ste, že každá tretia žena počas kariéry narazí na bariéry, ktoré brzdia jej rast? A že 70 % účastníčok mentoringových programov dosahuje viditeľné kariérne zmeny do roka? Z týchto dôvodov Britská obchodná komora v SR oficiálne spustila Equilibrium – mentoringovú iniciatívu, ktorá v Českej republike za 14 rokov podporila viac než 1400 žien.
Program pozostáva z dvoch častí, počas prvej sa prihlasujú mentory a mentorky ako aj ženy, ktoré majú záujem o mentoring či firmy, ktoré majú o mentoring svojich zamestnankýň. Počas tejto prvej časti tiež prebieha vhodné spárovanie mentorov, mentoriek s mentees – ženami . Na otváracej konferencii 8. apríla 2025 sa program oficiálne spustil aj na Slovensku. Silvia Bušniaková (BCC Czech Republic) predstavila štruktúru a ciele 15. ročníka programu, ktorého druhá časť štartuje 25. septembra 2025.
Equilibrium: Mentoring That Helps Women Achieve More
Did you know that 1 in 3 women face invisible barriers that limit their career progression? And that 70% of mentees in structured programmes report positive career changes within a year? Due to this reasons the British Chamber of Commerce in Slovakia has now officially launched Equilibrium – a mentoring initiative that has supported more than 1,400 women over the last 14 years in the Czech Republic.
The program consists of two parts, during the first, mentors and mentees as well as women who are interested in mentoring or companies that want to mentor their employees apply. During this first part, a suitable pairing of mentors and mentees – women – also takes place. At the opening conference on April 8, 2025, the program was officially launched in Slovakia. Silvia Bušniaková (BCC Czech Republic) presented the structure and goals of the 15th year of the program , the 2nd part starts on September 25, 2025.
„Vďaka našej spolupráci s Britskou obchodnou komorou v Českej republike sme sa pripojili k úspešnému mentoringovému programu Equilibrium, ktorý je zameraný na podporu a posilnenie žien v rámci biznisu a manažmentu. Tento program už roky pomáha ženám napredovať, prekonávať prekážky a naplno rozvíjať ich potenciál. Účasť v programe je prínosom v kariérnej orientácii, podporuje osobný rozvoj a jeho účastníčkam dáva možnosť stretnúť sa s inšpiratívnymi osobnosťami biznisu. Mentoring, rozvojové programy a vzdelávanie žien sú jedným z najefektívnejších nástrojov, ako ženám pomôcť rásť. Nie je to len osobná téma, je to strategická otázka konkurencieschopnosti Slovenska,“ zdôraznila Ivona Žitná, výkonná riaditeľka Britskej obchodnej komory v SR na úvodnom podujatí.
“Thanks to our cooperation with the British Chamber of Commerce in the Czech Republic, we have joined the successful mentoring program Equilibrium, which is focused on supporting and empowering women in business and management. This program has been helping women progress, overcome obstacles and fully develop their potential for years. Participation in the program is beneficial in career orientation, supports personal development and gives its participants the opportunity to meet inspiring business personalities. Mentoring, development programs and women’s education are one of the most effective tools to help women grow. It is not just a personal topic, it is a strategic issue for Slovakia’s competitiveness,” emphasized Ivona Žitná, Executive Director of the British Chamber of Commerce in the Slovak Republic at the opening event.
V panelovej diskusii vystúpili aj zástupkyne Tesco Stores SR – mentorka Ľubica Barčíková a mentee Zuzana Tedlová, ktoré potvrdili, že Equilibrium im pomohol získať sebadôveru, nastaviť zdravé hranice a nájsť rovnováhu medzi kariérou a rodinou.

A highlight of the event was the panel with Tesco Stores SR representatives – mentor Ľubica Barčíková and mentee Zuzana Tedlová, who emphasized the importance of mentoring in building confidence, healthy boundaries, and work-life balance.
