CMS has been recognised by Mergermarket for its outstanding M&A advisory work for deals in the value range of EUR 30m-EUR 1bn. Other nominees in this category – “European Mid-Market M&A Legal Adviser of the Year“ – included Allen & Overy, Clifford Chance, DLA Piper and Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer. The Mergermarket European M&A Awards were held in London on 4 December 2019.
The prizes are awarded for creative advisory work on complex transactions. The judging process, which starts with an analysis of M&A league table data to identify the top-ranked firms, is rigorous.
Stefan Brunnschweiler, Head of the CMS Corporate/M&A Group said, “Winning this award is fantastic recognition for the successful and results-oriented work that the international team of CMS M&A experts does for our clients – especially given the stiff competition in this category. It is also a welcome indicator that we are succeeding in our efforts to offer our clients the right mix of legal and commercial advice, ensuring that we add value to our clients’ often complex and multijurisdictional deal processes. Congratulations to the entire CMS team.”
