CMS named Slovakia Law Firm of the Year at the CIJ Awards
International law firm CMS is delighted to have been awarded Slovakia Law Firm of the Year at the 2019 CIJ Awards, held in Bratislava on Thursday evening.
The CIJ Awards are longest-running commercial property awards event in Slovakia and have evolved continuously over the past 15 years to keep pace with changes in local, regional and international property markets.
Since launching a new team in Bratislava in 2017, CMS has swiftly established itself as a true leader in real estate transactional work. It made waves in 2018 by winning high profile mandates such as Wood & Co’s acquisition of Aupark (the largest office transaction in nearly a decade) as well as IAD’s purchase of Steinerka.
Over the last year, the team has continued to consolidate its strong position, with a focus on the booming logistics and industrial asset market. Among its highlights, the team represented UK fund Gramercy on its first investment in Slovakia, a Hong Kong investor on the acquisition of two logistics parks, as well a global fund on one of the largest cross-border logistics portfolio acquisitions representing an aggregated acquired land area of 477.000 sqm.
Commenting on the award, partner Michal Huťan, says: “We are pleased to have been recognised by CIJ for our strong market position. We have accomplished an incredible amount over the last two years, working with local and international clients on their strategic real estate investments across the region. We plan to continue this momentum and further our position as the go-to real estate adviser in the region.”
