Renewed flights with Eurowings from Kosice

Eastern Slovakia welcomes direct flights to Germany after a two years break.
The German low-cost airline Eurowings, based in Düsseldorf, which is a member of the Lufthansa group, will renew its operations from 15th April, 2022 and will fly from Košice to Düsseldorf.
Eurowings will fly 3 times weekly on Mondays, Fridays and Sundays in the afternoon. The route will be operated by an Airbus aircraft with a capacity from 144 to 180 seats. The flight takes less than two hours. Plane tickets to the Düsseldorf are already available from € 59.99 (one-way including fees and hand luggage) at www.eurowings.com
Thomas Dworschak, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of Košice Airport, said: “We are very happy that such an important connection for eastern Slovakia will be renewed. Travelers will be able to fly directly from Kosice to Germany to work, visit family and friends or explore Düsseldorf and its surroundings.”
Winter flight schedule is valid until 26th March 2022 as following:
• Austrian Airlines to Vienna and through its wide network of destinations in Europe, the USA, Canada and the Caribbean.
• Ryanair to London Stansted, Prague, Liverpool, Dublin, Vienna, Warsaw Modlin.
• Wizz Air to London Luton
In year 2022, the generally applicable rules of wearing a respirator during the whole flight, hand hygiene and social distance apply for all airlines. The same rules are valid for the passengers in the terminal of Košice Airport.
